Azerbaijan: Supply of Russian and German cars in Baku market rose by 15-30%

ABC.az (Baku) - The supply at the automobile market of Baku has increased by 10.4% this April.

Public organization "Property Market Participants” reports that as a result of sharp exceeding of supply, the process of supply exceeding over real demand in the market.

Although during the month it was observed an increase of car sales & purchase deals, no major changes in prices occurred. The average price of a car at the Baku market grew by 0.3% up to $15.115 against March.

Relative activity in the market led to reduced period of secondary market exposition by 4.2% to 51 days. Totally more than 10,400 vehicles were supplied for the market, and only 24.5% of them were offered to the market precisely in April.

The share of Mercedes-Benz car, preferred mostly by local drivers, in the automobile market portfolio rose by another 1.8% and made up 30.3% of the total market portfolio. Besides, in April the market observed an increase by 25.7% in supply of Russia-made cars and by 15.8% for BMW brand cars.
