Belarusian Telegraph Agency (Minsk) - Belarus and Russia have agreed on the most of the issues regarding the opening of an auto holding company with the participation of MAZ and KamAZ, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Minsk Automobile Plant.
On 5 May MAZ hosted a meeting of a Russian-Belarusian task group scrutinizing the issue of setting up a holding company by the automakers of Belarus and Russia. The Russian side was represented by RT-Auto Director General of the Russian Technologies State Corporation, KamAZ Director General Sergei Kogogin. First Deputy Industry Minister Ivan Demidovich and MAZ Director General Alexander Borovsky attended the meeting on Belarus' behalf.
The participants of the meeting considered and coordinated the issues for further discussion. "The sides outlined the cooperation plan, and discussed the principal approaches," the MAZ press service noted. The sides were able to arrive at the understanding on the most of the issues.
The press service added that the media would be informed on the further development of the project.
