Gasgoo Munich- BYD has officially announced that pre-sale orders for its Great Tang EV — a full-size flash-charging flagship SUV — have topped 100,000 units. Global pre-sales began at the Beijing Auto Show on April 24, 2026, with prices ranging from 250,000 to 320,000 yuan.

Positioned as a full-size flagship SUV, the Great Tang EV commands attention with a 5,263mm length and 3,130mm wheelbase. The new model offers three range configurations: 800km rear-wheel drive, 950km rear-wheel drive, and 850km all-wheel drive. Equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery, it achieves a maximum CLTC pure electric range of 950 kilometers, setting a new record for full-size electric SUVs. Leveraging BYD’s flash-charging technology, the vehicle charges from 10% to 70% in just five minutes and reaches 97% in nine. Even in frigid conditions of -30°C, charging time extends by only three minutes.
Inside, the Great Tang EV features a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout with class-leading space utilization of 89.3%, ensuring even the third row offers standard comfort. The second row is fitted with dual zero-gravity aviation seats, complete with ventilation, heating, and 10-point massage functions; the backrests recline up to 146°, complemented by 70° electric leg rests. A 2.53-square-meter "Sky Mirror" panoramic sunroof comes standard across the lineup, blocking 100% of UV rays. The cabin also boasts a French Devialet 7.1.4-channel, 27-speaker audio system, along with electric side steps and soft-closing doors — amenities that deliver a ride experience rivaling luxury MPVs.
On the intelligent driving front, the Great Tang EV comes standard with the "God's Eye 5.0" system, supporting scenarios like highway cruising and automated parking. The AI cockpit integrates large models such as Qianwen and DeepSeek, enabling fuzzy semantic interaction. The all-wheel-drive version sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Notably, it features rear-wheel steering for the first time, with a maximum steering angle of 14° and a turning radius of just 5.2 meters. Paired with the DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension and road preview technology, the vehicle balances sharp handling with ride comfort.
