C-IASI Evaluation Results Released for Five New Energy Vehicles

Gasgoo Munich- Gasgoo reported on March 26, 2026, that the China Insurance Automotive Safety Index (C-IASI) released evaluation results for five models in Beijing under its 2023 protocol. The models include the Luxeed R7, Lynk & Co 900, NIO ES8, Li Auto i6, and the XPENG P7 sedan.

In the Repairability & Maintenance Economy Index, two models received Good (G) ratings, one Acceptable (A), and two Marginal (M). The NIO ES8 achieved a Good rating for structural durability. In terms of crash compatibility, the Luxeed R7, NIO ES8, and Li Auto i6 received Good ratings. All five models earned bonus points in low-speed active safety tests, achieving Good ratings.

All five models received Good+ (G+) ratings in the Occupant Safety Index. They recorded Good ratings in driver-side and passenger-side 25% offset, front 50% offset, and side impact tests. All models also achieved Good ratings for roof strength and seat/headrest performance.

The five models also received Good+ (G+) ratings for the Pedestrian Safety Index and Vehicle Assistance Safety Index. Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and emergency rescue services (E-call) were standard on all five models, with 100% availability. All five cars received Good (G) ratings in the new energy vehicle-specific index.
