Edited by Yara From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich- Amap and BYD signed a strategic partnership to deepen collaboration on the "Flash Charge China" initiative. Under the agreement, BYD's flash charging network will fully integrate into Amap's platform. The companies will coordinate efforts across station discovery, site planning, commercial vehicle charging, and brand marketing. This aims to improve the charging experience for new energy vehicle owners.

Detailed information on BYD's flash charging stations will be available on Amap. The platform hosts more than 450,000 public charging stations. Users can search "BYD Flash Charge" in the app to view real-time data. This includes location, distance, available stalls, and pricing. They can also navigate directly. This helps address challenges for EV drivers, such as finding chargers and waiting times. Amap will introduce specific visual markers for BYD stations to facilitate quick identification.

Regarding infrastructure, the partners will combine Amap's traffic data with BYD's charging demand analysis. They will build an intelligent site selection model. Using this data synergy, they aim to optimize station layouts. This will increase the utilization rate of charging facilities.

The collaboration extends to the commercial vehicle sector. Using Amap's commercial charging network and BYD's market presence, the companies will develop dedicated charging solutions. These target heavy-duty trucks and logistics vehicles. This strengthens systems for long-haul and urban delivery logistics. They also plan to launch joint marketing campaigns. This will expand service coverage and enhance brand awareness.

Shi Guiji, head of Amap's charging business, stated the partnership would enrich the platform's ecosystem. He noted the company would continue using location intelligence to optimize layouts. Wang Junbao, general manager of BYD's commercial vehicle division, described the deal as a critical step. It supports the "Flash Charge China" strategy. He added that Amap's platform advantages would allow the network to reach a broader user base.
