Changan Nevo Unveils H2 Lineup, Targets 400,000 Sales in 2026

Gasgoo Munich- On July 16, Yang Dayong, executive vice president of Changan Automobile, revealed the brand's latest sales roadmap and product strategy to Gasgoo. Yang stated that while NOMI models contributed roughly 200,000 units in sales last year, that volume is being actively scaled back this year due to various policy factors. Taking its place is the Nevo Q05—a compact SUV that has emerged as the brand's new sales pillar.

Data points to a strong market performance for the Nevo Q05. Sales hit 19,350 units in May—rising more than 30-fold year-on-year—and climbed further to 23,523 units in June, securing fourth place in the compact SUV segment. First-half sales for the Q05 have already surpassed 76,000 units, cementing its status as the flagship for Changan Nevo.

Overall, Changan Nevo delivered 173,822 units in the first half, with the AQ series rising 102.6% year-on-year. Yang acknowledged that production constraints capped the brand's potential in the first six months. However, with the Nanchang plant now officially operational, capacity bottlenecks are set to ease. The company has set a sales target of 300,000 units for the second half and is aiming for 400,000 units for the full year—a push that will continue to drive up Changan's new-energy vehicle penetration rate.

On the product front, the recently unveiled Nevo Q06 is positioned as the profit pillar for the second half. Built on the SDA architecture, the model debuts the Tianshu Navigation Ultra intelligent driving system. It comes standard across the lineup with an 800V high-voltage platform and LiDAR. Yang stated that the Q06 will not be priced on the low end, signaling a dual mission to drive the brand upmarket and boost profit margins. It is expected to hit the market in September.

From driving volume with the Q05 to elevating value with the Q06, Changan Nevo is entering the core of the new-energy market with a dual-track strategy.
