Gasgoo Munich- The 2026 Paris Motor Show kicked off on Oct. 12 local time. Chery brought its namesake brand alongside OMODA & JAECOO, showcasing new-energy models and localization plans for Europe. The automaker teamed up with industry, academic, and supply-chain partners to launch a joint initiative on sustainable ecosystems. This push targets greener supply chains, low-carbon manufacturing, and tech innovation.

On the product front, Chery rolled out five models: the TIGGO 4, TIGGO 7, TIGGO 8, TIGGO 9, and CHERY Q. It unveiled its European brand slogan: "For EU. For Family." OMODA & JAECOO made their France debut with the OMODA 4 and European debut with the OMODA 5, both equipped with the fifth-generation SHS hybrid system. Since launching in 2023, the dual brand has expanded into 79 markets worldwide — 23 of them in Europe — racking up cumulative sales of nearly 1.4 million units.

Locally, Chery is ramping up operations. Its European operations center opened in April 2026, and a Spanish research institute came online, rounding out a "1+7+N" R&D network. Chery is also working with EV MOTORS to revive the EBRO plant. Sales are gaining momentum: in the first nine months, Chery sold 292,000 vehicles across 24 European countries — a 182% jump from a year earlier. New-energy deliveries topped 146,000 units, climbing 251%.

Later that evening, Chery released its first sustainability report for the EU — a voluntary disclosure aligned with the CSRD and ESRS frameworks, featuring a double materiality assessment. The EBRO project has already created over 1,000 local jobs. To hit carbon neutrality in its own operations by 2037 and across its value chain by 2047, Chery plans to expand its new-energy lineup. It will accelerate low-carbon shifts in its supply chain, trimming full-lifecycle carbon footprints. The automaker has calculated those footprints for all models currently on sale in Europe. The JAECOO 7 SHS, notably, became the first Chinese model to receive a mutual carbon-footprint recognition certificate from DEKRA. Core environmental and social metrics were independently verified by TÜV NORD.
