Complaints about a faulty accelerator on Toyota's Prius have been filed in America, and numerous vehicles are facing recall.
However, China's administration of quality supervision has yet to receive any report from Toyota China.
The administration is paying close attention to the Prius recall. It has also warned owners to alert any defects they find to related departments.
Toyota has been producing the Hybrid Prius in Changchun since 2005. But due to its excessive price tag, it failed to achieve commercial success. Annual sales were below 1000 units.
