Shanghai September 6 (Gasgoo.com) China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and many other ministries are currently developing or accelerating implementation of the new energy vehicle policies, of which support policies for electric vehicles have become top priority, Shanghai Securities News reported Monday.
The "energy saving and new energy vehicle development plan (2011-2020)" has basically be completed and is expected to go public in two months, and the MIIT and other related departments are now engaged in the revision of the "automotive industry development policy 2004".
Apart from that, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) has drawn up an "electric vehicles '12 5' plan (2011-2015)" which points out development direction of electric vehicle industry, increasing prototype R&D, optimization and application, intensifying financial subsidies and other seven aspects.
The "adjustment of industrial structure and guide catalog 2010" has added key components of new energy vehicles to the "State encourages" list. The Commerce Department will usher export of auto parts, encourage domestic automakers to import advanced equipments, technology and core components.
Development of new energy automotive industry, represented by electric vehicles, should be encouraged, and competitiveness improvement of core components of traditional and new energy vehicles, auto export as well as acquisition and reorganization home and abroad should also be encouraged, Wan Gang, Minister of Science and Technology of China said.
In the meanwhile, Wan Gang set out in detail developing goals of the new energy vehicles in China, namely 2020, China's trade volume in export of autos and auto parts accounts for more than 10% of the world's total trade volume. Moreover, the new energy automotive industry and market size reach the world's first, and China's new energy vehicles maintain capacity of 5 million units.
