Chinese Battery-Swapping Trucks Enter Europe-Africa Corridor, Gotion Provides Transport Solution

Edited by Sissi From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich- At IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026, Gotion High-Tech and C&C Trucks, a subsidiary of Chery Commercial Vehicle, jointly unveiled the DIANLL Integrated Mobile Energy Storage Charging & Battery-Swapping Solution, delivering an integrated global transport solution covering vehicles, solar power, energy storage, charging, and battery swapping. The solution provides a viable energy infrastructure pathway for the electrification of cross-border heavy-duty logistics and supports the on-site delivery of the first customer vehicle for the Europe-Africa transport corridor.

As Europe accelerates decarbonization regulations for commercial vehicles, electric heavy trucks have become the inevitable path for the logistics sector. Yet, scaling up electric adoption faces multiple obstacles. Traditional fixed charging and swapping stations require long construction cycles and high costs for land and grid upgrades, while energy networks are often missing along remote cross-border routes and logistics nodes.

Industry competition is shifting from a contest over single-vehicle performance to a battle for full-scenario solutions that integrate trucks, batteries, and charging ecosystems.

The DIANLL solution, making its debut in Hanover, features three key advantages: low investment, rapid deployment, and mobility. Moving beyond the traditional fixed-site model, it adopts an innovative "energy-follows-vehicle" approach to address energy infrastructure challenges for heavy-duty trucks in Europe.

Supporting a four-pack linkage, bottom-mounted side-swapping system for both tractors and trailers, the solution allows for a modular 430kWh plus 430kWh battery combination. It enables a 5-minute swap without fixed stations, significantly lowering infrastructure investment.

The entire system connects to the Gotion High-TechGuard-ZERO digital energy cloud platform, enabling full-domain energy scheduling and the cross-regional allocation of green power. It also couples deeply with photovoltaic, wind, and energy storage systems.

Furthermore, DIANLL's heavy truck swapping interface technology has been incorporated into the IEC 63066 international standard. This design foundation allows for mass entry into the European market and adapts to diverse, complex operational scenarios such as cross-border corridors, logistics parks, and temporary transport lines.

At the exhibition, United Truck launched international versions of the Phoenix BEV and Phoenix REEV heavy trucks. As core ecosystem partners, Gotion High-Tech and DIANLL are deeply integrating their mobile storage, charging, and swapping systems with these two new models.

Additionally, Gotion High-Tech, United Truck, and strategic client GPM held a ceremony for the delivery of the first battery-swap heavy truck to a customer on the Europe-Africa transport corridor, alongside a strategic partnership signing.
