India, one of the world’s fastest-growing new energy markets, is entering a phase of scaled energy storage development, according to EVE Energy. As the share of renewable energy rises rapidly, the need for grid stability and frequency regulation has become critical, making storage systems a cornerstone of the energy transition. At the same time, the Indian market is placing higher demands on long-term reliability, operational cost efficiency, and local adaptability.

Under the agreement, the collaboration centers on EVE Energy’s 628Ah large energy storage battery. Featuring high safety, reliability, and simplified integration, the product is designed to reduce the lifecycle cost of storage systems while enhancing operational efficiency. This comes as India undergoes a rapid shift toward renewable energy, driving significant demand for grid stability and supporting storage infrastructure.

EVE Energy described the 8GWh deal as a strong start to the companies’ strategic alignment. The planned 60GWh partnership over the next five years reflects GNEPL’s confidence in EVE Energy’s product capabilities and delivery capacity. By leveraging their respective strengths, the two parties aim to advance energy storage projects in India and unlock long-term value, supporting the region’s energy transition.
