Faurecia, a leading global supplier of engineering solutions and automotive components, stood out from nearly one hundred participants as it won three awards at the China Automotive Industry 2011 Award. Two of the awards were for its outstanding achievements in technical innovation and product quality; the Top 10 “Fastest Technical Progress” Auto Parts Enterprises Award and Top 10 “Best Quality” Auto Parts Enterprises Award. In addition, Mr. Jean Michel Vallin, President of Faurecia (China) Holding Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of Top 10 “Best Manager” of Auto Parts Enterprises.

Faurecia has achieved an average global PPM (number of defective products per million products delivered to customers) of 15, while a higher standard of single-digit PPM was realized in Chinese local plants, among which some even demonstrated a perfect result of 0 PPM. With its professional quality assurance system, Faurecia is highly regarded by major global engine manufacturers, and has been awarded a number of Supplier Excellence Prizes by cooperation partners. Recently, Faurecia's automotive seating factory in Wuhan was awarded the Dongfeng Nissan "Supplier Quality Award" trophy by the Global CEO of The Renault-Nissan Alliance, Mr. Carlos Ghosn.
The rapid and robust development of a company cannot be achieved without outstanding leaders. Mr. Jean Michel Vallin was appointed President of Faurecia (China) Holding Co., Ltd. in January 2008. With 28 years of experience as a high level executive in automotive industry, in addition to extensive expertise in general management, sales and project management, and manufacturing and partnership development, Mr. Vallin has led Faurecia to the peak of its development with sales achieving a growth rate of 43% in 2009, 58% in 2010, and for the first time ever totaling a value of 1 billion Euros.
China is the most important strategic area for the development of Faurecia. The Group is currently operates 25 plants and four R&D centers, with some 6,000 employees. It achieved 2010 sales of EUR 1,023 million and targets EUR 2.5 billion sales in China in 2015.
