Gasgoo Munich- On March 26, FAW Hongqi and Alibaba Cloud jointly announced that the Qwen AI agent has been officially integrated into the Hongqi smart cockpit, with the Hongqi HS6 PHEV set to be the first model equipped with the technology, according to Gasgoo.
The move marks a concrete step forward in their collaboration on AI large-model automotive applications. By extending the Qwen agent from lightweight terminals to the more complex environment of a vehicle, the partners are accelerating the scaled deployment of intelligent interaction across all scenarios.

The Hongqi HS6 PHEV's smart cockpit leverages Alibaba Cloud's Qwen agent to deeply integrate natural language understanding with multi-task parallel processing capabilities.
Drivers can use continuous voice commands to handle navigation, dining recommendations, and scheduling simultaneously. The system fuses real-time traffic data, weather conditions, and information on nearby businesses to automatically generate optimized itineraries. The goal is to minimize manual distractions behind the wheel, thereby enhancing both safety and travel efficiency.
For this partnership, Alibaba Cloud provided full-stack technical support for the Qwen agent, ranging from model training to on-device deployment. This ensures the system maintains a stable response despite the strict real-time and reliability demands of the automotive environment.
FAW Hongqi, for its part, has deeply integrated the cockpit's vehicle logic with the Qwen agent. This allows AI capabilities to connect seamlessly with vehicle status and sensor data, delivering a more natural and fluid voice interaction experience for users.
Looking ahead, the Qwen agent will gradually tap into Alibaba's ecosystem of lifestyle services, including instant retail, ticket booking, and mobility services. Eventually, drivers will be able to purchase goods, book event tickets, and reserve hotels via voice commands without taking their eyes off the road — transforming the smart cockpit from a mere travel tool into a fully functional mobile service terminal.
