Today (Sept. 5), Ford China announced its latest sales record. Ford auto has kept its strong growth in China. Its sales has refreshed its single month sales record for 4 months this year. According to statistics, Ford auto sales in China has reached 71,183 in August, which has increased 46% over the sales of the same period last year. The company has sold 551,738 vehicles in China accumulating from Jan. to Aug, which has increased 50% over last year.
Focus is still the star model of Ford. It has contributed a lot for the growth. In August, Focus has sold 30,959 in Chinese market, which has increased 21%. The model has sold 249,576 totally during Jan. to Aug, which has dramatically increase 62% over last year performance.
Besides, imported models, Ford Focus ST, Ford Fiesta ST, Ford Edge and Ford Explorer 8 have sold 1,244 in August, which have doubled than last year. The four models sales have increased 257% from Jan. to Aug.
Changan Ford passenger car, the passenger car joint venture of Ford in China has sold 53,390 vehicles totally, which has increased 62%. Changan Ford sales reaches 394,017 in August, which has increased 70%.
JMC, commercial car company of Ford automobile, has sold 16,549 in August, which has increased 10%. JMC has sold 143,322 totally in the first 8 months this year, which has increased 8% than the 132,667 sales of last year.
