The solution will be offered in integrated and domain controller configurations, balancing high quality with cost-efficiency to support next-generation active safety. Powered by the Journey 6B (J6B) computing platform within the 10-20 TOPS range, it innovatively employs Transformer BEV and Sparse4D sparse fusion perception architectures. This setup enhances the ability to detect irregular obstacles and improves ranging accuracy in complex road conditions, striking a balance between performance and cost advantages.
In terms of functionality, the system supports over a dozen active safety features, including AEB, ACC, and LKA. For parking, it offers APA and RPA capabilities with dynamic path planning and adjustment. This provides richer parking route options and enhances generalization across various scenarios.
Previously, Freetech's city NOA solution based on the Journey 6M (J6M) secured design wins for over 20 models, many of which are already in mass production, covering the mid-tier market. This latest design win for the J6B solution completes Freetech's product matrix, focusing on the mass market. By prioritizing cost-efficiency and essential safety, the company aims to precisely cover different market segments. Meanwhile, its integrated software-hardware, platform-based development model helps automakers reduce adaptation costs and shorten development cycles.
Currently, Freetech has established a three-tier solution matrix consisting of FT Pro, Max, and Ultra, covering both passenger and commercial vehicle markets to meet demands from entry-level to high-end models. The newly awarded J6B solution (Basic Safety/L2) is scheduled for mass production in 2026, aiming to drive the widespread adoption of high-level driver-assistance technologies.
