CaoCao launches Robovan commercial operations in Changsha
On July 15, CaoCao officially launched the commercial operation of its Robovan service in Changsha, deploying its first batch of autonomous delivery vehicles in real-world urban logistics scenarios. The launch marks the company's entry into the commercial operation phase of autonomous freight services. Unlike conventional vehicle sales, CaoCao's Robovan business combines vehicle sales, leasing, and Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS), transforming autonomous logistics vehicles into continuously operated mobility services that provide customers with flexible and cost-effective urban delivery solutions.
Changsha serves as the first city to validate the company's end-to-end operational model, laying the foundation for expansion into additional markets. As the commercialization platform for Geely Holding's RoboX initiative, CaoCao integrates purpose-built intelligent vehicles, autonomous driving technology, and digital fleet operations to support parcel delivery, supermarket replenishment, warehouse-to-store transfers, and urban freight distribution, with plans to expand into on-demand delivery services. The launch follows the company's RoboX strategy announced in June, under which CaoCao plans to deploy 100,000 Robotaxis and 100,000 Robovans by 2030.
Great Wall Motor expects first-half net profit to decline by nearly 60%
Great Wall Motor announced on July 14 that it expects net profit attributable to shareholders of 2.35 billion yuan to 2.60 billion yuan for the first half of 2026, representing a year-on-year decline of 58.97% to 62.92%. The company attributed the decrease primarily to the delayed recognition of overseas tax subsidy income and the impact of exchange rate fluctuations. Chairman Wei Jianjun said vehicle sales and revenue both increased year over year during the period, driven by strong overseas performance and improved sales of higher-value models in China.
The company also reaffirmed its long-term operating strategy, highlighting disciplined inventory management and plans to proceed with share repurchases under its previously announced H-share buyback program. Earlier sales data showed Great Wall Motor sold 108,100 vehicles in June and 583,900 vehicles in the first half of the year, up 2.48% year over year. Overseas sales reached 291,400 units in the first six months, while new energy vehicle sales totaled 144,600 units. Among its brands, ORA recorded the strongest growth, while WEY and TANK posted year-over-year declines in June.
PrimeBOT unveils world's first transformable personal humanoid robot
PrimeBOT officially launched the Qiyuan T1 on July 14, describing it as the world's first transformable personal robot capable of autonomously switching between a quadruped configuration and a wheeled humanoid form without manual intervention. Designed to bridge mobility between complex outdoor terrain and indoor living environments, the robot automatically adapts its operating mode based on different application scenarios.
The Qiyuan T1 uses a unified Transformer-based cross-form architecture that integrates shared structural, sensing, powertrain, and control modules across both configurations. In outdoor environments, the quadruped mode enables stable movement across grass, gravel, slopes, and stairs, while the wheeled humanoid mode provides quiet operation, zero-radius turning, and natural human-robot interaction indoors. The robot also supports AI-assisted content creation through integration with action cameras, including voice-controlled recording, autonomous tracking, and coordinated camera movement. PrimeBOT plans to showcase the Qiyuan T1 at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), which opens on July 17, with pricing and commercial launch details to be announced later.
