GAC Group's cumulative vehicle sales approach 30 million units ahead of 29th anniversary
GAC Group is set to host a 30-million-user appreciation event on July 16, during which its 30 millionth vehicle will roll off the production line. The company will also launch a user story campaign, inviting owners to share their driving experiences.
June 28 marked GAC Group's 29th anniversary, with cumulative vehicle production and sales poised to surpass the 30 million-unit milestone. The achievement reflects nearly three decades of growth and the trust of 30 million customers.
According to the company, January–May sales totaled approximately 628,200 vehicles, up 3.8% year on year, while May sales reached 127,300 units, representing an 8.18% increase from a year earlier.
Among the highlights, the AION i6, developed under GAC's new product development process, has exceeded 10,000 monthly sales. Meanwhile, the AISTALAND GT7, co-developed with Huawei, has been launched as scheduled, and the Toyota bZ series under GAC Toyota continues to deliver strong sales performance.
Li Auto officially enters the Macao market
Li Auto officially entered the Macao market on June 26, opening its first retail center in the city at Macau Golden Island in partnership with Hong Yue Group.
To meet local regulatory requirements and the cross-border travel needs of users in Hong Kong and Macao, Li Auto has localized multiple vehicle features, including window glazing, connectivity, and the intelligent cockpit system.
The move marks Li Auto's first expansion into the Hong Kong and Macao markets after establishing a strong presence in mainland China, representing another significant step in the company's global expansion strategy.
With the new retail center now in operation, Macao customers can experience the Li i6 and Li i8, supported by a full range of services spanning vehicle purchase, delivery, and after-sales support.
Dongfeng eπ M8 secures over 10,000 pre-orders
Dongfeng eπ announced that pre-orders for the eπ M8 exceeded 10,000 units as of midnight on June 28, shortly after the model's official debut. The six-seat SUV starts at a pre-sale price of RMB 199,800.
As the first production model following the strategic partnership upgrade between Dongfeng eπ and Huawei Qiankun, the eπ M8 integrates technologies from Dongfeng Motor, Huawei Qiankun, and CATL.
The vehicle is equipped with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 Pro intelligent driving system, featuring a 27-sensor suite, including the industry's first Limera in-cabin laser vision sensor, three 4D millimeter-wave radars, 11 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars.
Powered by the WEWA 2.0 computing architecture, the system leverages 60 EFLOPS of cloud computing power and has been trained on more than one billion kilometers of driving data.
