NIO and Geely Reach Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in Charging and Battery Swapping
NIO and Zhejiang Geely Holding Group reached a comprehensive strategic partnership in charging and battery swapping on September 28, 2026.
The partnership covers technology, operations and capital, with the two sides planning to jointly invest in their charging and battery-swapping businesses, share technologies and standards, and build an interconnected energy replenishment network.
Geely Holding will contribute its 100% stake in Yiyi Power plus RMB 640 million in cash to NIO Energy. After the transaction, Geely Holding will hold 30% of NIO Energy.
The two companies will jointly establish C-end battery-swapping technologies and standards. Geely will develop battery-swapping passenger vehicles, while NIO Energy will provide swapping services for these models.
In smart charging, NIO will acquire a 10% stake in Geely Holding's Haohan Energy, with the two sides fully connecting their charging resources.
As of September 27, NIO had invested more than RMB 20 billion in charging and battery-swapping infrastructure. It had 4,126 battery-swap stations, 5,307 charging stations and 30,598 charging piles nationwide.
NIO had provided more than 220 million charging and swapping services, including over 125 million battery swaps.
Momenta Partners with Peugeot and Jeep to Bring Advanced ADAS to China, Europe and Global Markets
On September 24, Dongfeng Stellantis Automotive Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. (DSAT), covering Peugeot, Citroën and Jeep, entered into a global strategic partnership with Momenta.
The companies will jointly develop advanced driver-assistance systems based on Momenta R7 World Model, with the technology to be deployed on new production models from Peugeot and Jeep.
The systems are planned for deployment in China, Europe and other global markets, supporting the intelligent transformation of Stellantis' mainstream brands.
Peugeot and Jeep will work with Momenta on product definition and joint development, adapting the driving-assistance experience to each brand's characteristics.
The partnership combines Shenlong's vehicle development and chassis tuning capabilities with Momenta's intelligent-driving technology, including adjustments to steering, braking and power response for different driving scenarios.
For China, the cooperation will bring advanced intelligent-driving capabilities to new Peugeot and Jeep models. In overseas markets, the companies aim to combine familiar brand driving characteristics with advanced driver-assistance technology.
RoboSense Integrates E2 and EM4 LiDARs with NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge
On September 28, 2026, RoboSense announced that its E2 second-generation high-precision ultra-wide-angle solid-state digital LiDAR and EM4 long-range automotive-grade digital LiDAR had officially integrated with NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge (HSB).
RoboSense had previously joined three NVIDIA ecosystems: Jetson, DRIVE and Omniverse.
NVIDIA HSB is an Ethernet-based sensor-streaming technology designed for real-time data transmission and simplified high-speed sensor fusion and actuator integration on NVIDIA edge AI platforms.
The E2 uses RoboSense's self-developed "Peacock" SPAD-SoC chip and a solid-state scanning architecture. It is designed for applications including humanoid robots, quadruped robots, robotic lawn mowers, drones and spatial-intelligence data collection.
The EM4 is described as the world's first mass-production-ready 1,000+ line digital LiDAR, with up to 2,160 lines, 41.04 million points per second and a maximum detection range of 600 meters.
With HSB integration, E2 and EM4 can be more easily incorporated into systems built on NVIDIA Jetson and NVIDIA IGX platforms through HSB standard APIs and open-source software.
Their 3D data can be transmitted through Ethernet to AI processing pipelines with low latency; supported hardware can also write the data directly to GPU memory, reducing data movement and CPU usage.
