QCraft's intelligent driving systems are deployed in more than 1,000,000 vehicles
Chinese autonomous driving startup QCraft said its driver assistance systems have now been deployed in more than one million vehicles, marking a major milestone in the commercialization of smart driving technologies.
Speaking at its QCraft Day 2026 event on January 23, the company revealed that by January 2026 its systems had entered mass production across 23 vehicle models. QCraft has established partnerships with several major Chinese automakers, including Li Auto, Chery, GAC, Geely and SAIC, allowing its software to reach a broad consumer base.
Looking ahead, the company expects more than 50 new models equipped with its technology to hit the market in 2026. All of these vehicles will offer city-level Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) as a standard feature, and QCraft said models with this advanced capability are expected to start at price points around 100,000 yuan, signaling a push to make high-level assisted driving accessible to mainstream buyers.
Unitree claims humanoid robot shipments top 5,500 in 2025
Chinese robotics company Unitree has disclosed for the first time detailed shipment figures for its humanoid robots, suggesting it may now be the industry's largest player by volume.
In a statement released on the evening of January 22, the company said it delivered more than 5,500 fully humanoid robots in 2025, while total production of humanoid units exceeded 6,500 during the same period. Unitree stressed that the figures refer strictly to bipedal humanoid robots and exclude other formats such as wheeled or dual-arm machines.
The company also cautioned against lumping different robot categories together when making comparisons, arguing that humanoid systems should be evaluated separately. The newly published numbers are significantly higher than earlier estimates from market research firms, potentially reshaping perceptions of leadership in China's fast-growing robotics sector.
Adient introduces ModuTec modular seat system
Global automotive seating supplier Adient has unveiled a new modular seat platform, positioning it as a step change in how vehicle interiors are designed and manufactured.
Launched on January 23, the ModuTec system is built around a standardized modular architecture that restructures traditional seat production into a more flexible and automated process. Adient said the concept was developed after extensive research into the needs of automakers, manufacturing facilities and end users, with the aim of balancing customization, efficiency and cost control.
At the core of ModuTec is a production method that shifts much of the assembly work offline, allowing pre-built modules to be integrated directly into the main vehicle assembly line. This approach shortens seat installation from minutes to seconds, significantly raising automation levels while helping manufacturers reduce labor intensity and improve overall production efficiency.
