Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 29) - Great Wall Motor and German electronic manufacturer Kostal have signed a new cooperation agreement earlier this week, the Nanfang Daily reported today. The two parties will work jointly develop traditional engine products, safety electronics and various other technologies.
Great Wall and Kostal's cooperation dates back to 2006, when Kostal first began supplying Great Wall with seat adjustment controls. Over the years the two companies' ties have grown stronger, with Kostal-made rain sensors and switches used on the manufacturer's flagship Haval H6, Haval H5 and C50 models. A representative from Great Wall stated that the manufacturer's future models will use more and more technology from Kostal.
Technological cooperation with international enterprises is one of the hallmarks of Great Wall, which has invested a great deal of resources in signing agreements with overseas auto part manufacturers and technology suppliers in order to boost the quality of its products. Great Wall has agreements with over ten major auto part suppliers, including Delphi and Valeo.
