India's largest carmaker Maruti Udyog Ltd has launched its premium sedan 'SX4' priced between Rs 6.18 lakh-6.89 lakh which would compete with popular models including Honda City and Hyundai Verna and Ford Fiesta.
The company has launched two variants of the car and it would provide additional features on the top-end variant, which would be priced at Rs 7.24 lakh.
"The company has already dispatched 1,500 units of the new car and would send out another lot of 500 units on Tuesday," MUL Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Jagdish Khattar told reporters in New Delhi.
He said with the dispatch of second lot SX4 would be present across the country.
Speaking on the company's profit margins, Khattar said: "We are not bothered about margins but about the quality."
