Gasgoo Munich- JD.com and open-architecture robot leasing platform RoboNow have forged a comprehensive partnership.
The collaboration will focus on key areas including equipment leasing, global supply chain logistics, maintenance, insurance, recycling, secondary development, and data collection. Together, the partners aim to build an end-to-end service ecosystem—spanning leasing, logistics, upkeep, insurance, and custom development—to accelerate the large-scale deployment of embodied robots in commercial and household markets both at home and abroad.
A subsidiary of Shanghai Jushen Technology, RoboNow launched in March 2026. Leveraging a mature Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) business model, core technical reserves, and global operational capabilities, the platform has established a standardized leasing network across China, the Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe.

Under the deal, a RoboNow flagship store will launch on JD.com, tapping the e-commerce giant's traffic, marketing matrix, and standardized transaction systems to reach a wider customer base. In return, RoboNow is integrating its logistics, warehousing, comprehensive after-sales support, and asset disposal systems directly into JD's ecosystem.
Looking ahead, the pair plans to expand into diverse scenarios such as entertainment and tourism, sporting events, home services, elderly care, and specialized cleaning, steadily pushing the boundaries of the industrial market.
Supporting this partnership, JD Service has developed a proprietary SaaS platform for robot after-sales management. Designed for manufacturers, leasing operators, and end-users across industries, the system offers one-stop digital services including intelligent fault alerts, automated work orders, and on-site or depot maintenance.
The platform is now fully operational and already serves several leading domestic robot brands and leasing platforms.
JD Service is also advancing its circular economy initiatives, recently launching a recycling program that offers standardized services such as door-to-door pickup, professional testing and grading, refurbishment, and compliant scrapping. Initially rolled out in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, the service covers humanoid and quadruped robots, AI companions, exoskeletons, and various commercial units like cleaning, serving, and greeting robots.
Separately, JD Service introduced a "Robot Ambulance" model this year, establishing a dedicated emergency standard for repairs. Targeting cutting-edge devices like humanoids, quadrupeds, and AI companions, the service covers everything from basic repairs and precise diagnostics to battery swapping, professional testing, cosmetic maintenance, and recycling.
To fuel its rapid network expansion, JD Service aims to train 100,000 engineers over the next five years, covering after-sales repairs for robots and smart home devices.
