Li Auto L6 Cumulative Deliveries Surpass 400,000 Units, Becomes Best-Selling Large SUV

Gasgoo Munich- Li Auto announced on August 14 that cumulative deliveries of its extended-range hybrid SUV, the Li Auto L6, have surpassed 400,000 units. Launched on April 18, 2024, with deliveries starting on April 24, the milestone was reached in just 2 years and 4 months. This makes it the fastest extended-range vehicle priced above 200,000 yuan to hit the 400,000 mark, as well as the best-selling large SUV in China by cumulative volume.

The new-generation L6 launched in July with a single configuration priced at 249,800 yuan — matching the previous generation. Orders placed before August 31 qualify for limited-time launch perks worth up to 28,000 yuan, including full-size zero-gravity seats for both front passengers with 18-point massage, four exclusive exterior colors, and an Obsidian Black sports design package.

The new L6 measures 4,935mm long, 1,960mm wide, and 1,735mm tall, with a 2,920mm wheelbase. While the length has grown by 10mm compared to the outgoing model, it remains positioned as a large five-seat SUV. Standard equipment includes 20-inch wheels, with 21-inch options available.

Visually, the new L6 adopts the latest family design language. It retains the classic Star Light ring, though the central active intake grille and black trim are no longer connected to the split headlights. The front fascia features sharper, more rugged lines. At the rear, the license plate recess has moved up to the tailgate, while the continuous Star Light taillight gets upgraded details with rounded outer edges for a more three-dimensional look.

The interior follows the design philosophy of the new L9. The steering wheel has been redesigned with cleaner controls and gold accents, ditching the small display on the wheel. It now features a new 29-inch 6K panoramic screen, paired with a 19-speaker Platinum audio system.

The power battery represents the most significant upgrade. Capacity has risen from 36.8 kWh to 51 kWh, boosting CLTC pure electric range from 212 km to 300 km — a 42% jump. Peak charging power hits 260 kW, allowing for a 20% to 80% fast charge in just 12 minutes.

On the intelligent front, the new L6 comes standard with Li Auto’s self-developed Mach M100 chip. Built on a 5-nanometer automotive-grade process, the single chip delivers 1,280 TOPS of computing power with an actual operating efficiency exceeding 82%. The cockpit chip has been switched from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 to the 8797, boosting CPU performance by 1.8 times, working in tandem with the 29-inch 6K integrated panoramic screen.
