Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 2) - In anticipation of its entrance into the Chinese market, Lotus Cars told the Beijing Times today that they would hold an inauguration ceremony in Beijing next month. According to early reports, Lotus Cars CEO Dany Taner Bahar will personally attend the event.

Lotus is planning to build four dealers in the country, with the first one opening its doors this September. The British manufacturer will be bringing over its iconic Elise (pictured) and Evora sports cars, which will both be shown at the Beijing ceremony.

Due to the Chinese word for Lotus being registered by truck manufacturer Youngman, Lotus will be using a transliteration of its English name in the market.
