Gasgoo Munich- Lumos Robotics unveiled its next-generation embodied AI development platform, Lumos Station Lite, on July 27. Designed for teaching and research, the system offers an all-in-one solution for skill verification—spanning model deployment, real-world execution, and quantitative evaluation.
Lumos Station Lite serves as a critical component of the company's industrial infrastructure for embodied AI. By bridging the gap between model capabilities and robot execution, the platform aims to transition the technology from experimental validation to real-world application. Covering the entire workflow—from deployment to execution and evaluation—Lumos Station Lite provides universities, research institutes, and corporate R&D teams with standardized tools. This helps lower the barrier to entry for embodied AI algorithms, accelerating the shift from the laboratory to actual scenarios.

Embodied AI is currently shifting from concept validation to industrial implementation. China's Ministry of Education added an undergraduate major in the field in 2026. By targeting education and research as its entry point, Lumos Robotics aims to build an ecosystem that spans from technical origins to industrial application—empowering talent development and basic research along the way.
Founded in 2024 by veteran robotics expert Yu Chao, Lumos Robotics is headquartered in Shenzhen. The company focuses on developing and manufacturing product-grade embodied AI robots, leveraging integrated hardware and software innovations to deliver high-performance, reliable, and cost-effective solutions. Previously, the company showcased its Lumos body-less data acquisition equipment and the Lumos NexCore operating system at WAIC 2026, covering data pipelines, model evaluation, and scenario toolchains. In May of this year, Lumos completed A1 and A2 funding rounds, raising nearly 1 billion yuan in financing led by Mitsubishi Electric. The launch of Lumos Station Lite further expands the company's product portfolio in industrial embodied AI infrastructure.
As embodied AI moves from a "technology race" to a phase of "value verification," the industry faces a common challenge: how to efficiently verify and rapidly iterate model capabilities on physical robots. The introduction of Lumos Station Lite is poised to provide critical "last-mile" tool support for that process.
