Shanghai, May 7 (Gasgoo.com) Global parts giant Magna said to reporters that it would directly participate in the technical standard-setting of China electric vehicles with China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) and China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC), with which it has been in talks recently.

He said Magna's technical heads have already got involved in the technical standard-setting of the EVs in North America, particularly of the batteries, adding that in China Magna will be mainly in touch with the T10 committee under CAAM and CATARC directly.
Magna revealed that this year it would build two factories in China, and one of them would be in the north to produce the new composite fuel tank system, adding that it has 19 factories in China, with the two included.
