Gasgoo.com (Shanghai December 29) - The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released a list of new registered automobile models, the Nanfang Daily reported today. Several new own brand models were listed, including a new own brand SUV from FAW Group and a sedan from Dongfeng Fengshen.
FAW's entry was a listed as a multi purpose passenger automobile, which many speculate to be FAW's upcoming Besturn X7. The X7 is built on the same platform as the Besturn B70, and is powered by either a 2.0 L or 2.3 L engine mated to a six speed manumatic transmission. Changan Ford's low emission EcoSport compact SUV (pictured above) also made an appearance on the list, as did Dongfeng Honda's 2013 CR-V (pictured below), the latter of which was announced overseas earlier this year.
Several sedans were mentioned well, including what many believe to be Dongfeng Nissan's next generation Teana. A 1.5 L powered entry listed by Dongfeng Fengshen was also listed, which has been speculated to be the new S30 sedan. FAW-VW's Sagitar GLI and the new FAW Oley were also listed.
