Gasgoo Munich- Changan Automobile's DEEPAL kicked off pre-sales for the updated S05 on July 30. The refreshed model brings tweaks to the exterior, interior, and storage, while adding an optional lidar sensor. The automaker announced pricing for five pure-electric variants and three customization packages, alongside a deposit incentive. The lineup has been streamlined to five pure-electric models, with pre-sale prices ranging from 119,900 to 151,900 yuan.
Split by CLTC range, the S05 comes in two main series: 520 km and 620 km. Both ranges offer a standard configuration and a lidar-equipped variant, with the latter carrying a premium to flag its advanced driver-assistance features.

Visually, the S05 sticks to the brand's family design language, with refined front lighting and a closed grille. It retains frameless doors, semi-hidden handles, and new 18-inch wheels. The lidar sensor is designed to enhance road recognition and help avoid potential hazards.
On the practicality front, DEEPAL added a glovebox on the passenger side and expanded storage spots to 37 throughout the cabin. Combined with a 492-liter two-layer trunk and a 159-liter front trunk, daily storage is ample. Inside, buyers get three color schemes, new 256-color ambient lighting, a column shifter, and a floating central display as standard — upgrades that boost the cabin's refinement and ambiance.
Powertrain hardware remains unchanged. The pure-electric version uses a 272-horsepower rear motor paired with CATL's "Golden Bell" battery, offering the 520 km and 620 km ranges. The range-extended version stays in the lineup, boasting 215 km of CLTC electric range and a total range of up to 1,310 km.
DEEPAL also introduced three optional packages, each priced at 5,999 yuan. The "Smart Premium" and "Smart Enjoyment" packages target infotainment and comfort, differing in screen and audio specs but both including passenger seat massage, an anti-glare rearview mirror, and an onboard air purifier. The "Smart Travel Comfort" package focuses on seating, adding driver massage, a "queen" passenger seat, front ventilation and heating, and fully electric exterior mirrors.
