Over 52000 Fords sold in China in June

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 10) - Ford sold a total of 52,440 vehicles in China last month, Gasgoo.com (Chinese) reported today. The sales result represents year-on-year growth of 18 percent for the American manufacturer. Year-on-year growth for Ford passenger automobiles was 28 percent.

Among its models, the new Focus (pictured) performed exceptionally strongly, with total monthly sales falling just short of 15,000 units. Ford passenger automobile sales of Ford's Chinese joint venture company, Changan Ford Mazda, totaled 37,038 units for the month. Meanwhile, sales of commercial vehicles, sold primarily by local partner Jiangling, were only 15,093 units, one percent less than in last June.

A total of 277,322 Ford automobiles have been sold from January to June.
