Gasgoo Munich- PHINIA Inc., a diversified industrial supplier and global leader in fuel systems, electrical systems, and aftermarket solutions, announced on June 30, 2026, that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Stoba Group, a global technology partner for high-precision components, systems, and custom manufacturing solutions. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

Stoba Group boasts deep expertise in precision engineering and advanced manufacturing, with standout capabilities in high-precision component machining, electrochemical machining (ECM), laser welding, and drilling.
PHINIA views the acquisition as a step to refine its product portfolio and bolster its global capacity to deliver high-precision components, systems, and integrated solutions. The move also promises to shore up supply chain resilience while expanding the company’s capabilities in complex component manufacturing, advanced engineering, and system integration.
The deal allows PHINIA to expand its footprint across strategic sectors, including passenger and commercial vehicles, off-road machinery, industrial applications, high-end equipment, semiconductors, and aerospace & defense.
Spun off from BorgWarner’s fuel systems and aftermarket division, PHINIA has been aggressively mapping out its technology through strategic buys. Following the 2025 acquisition of SEM, the company secured full system capabilities spanning injection, ignition, and control. Adding Stoba Group to its fold marks another milestone in PHINIA’s push into precision manufacturing and system integration.
"We intend to fund the transaction using existing liquidity," said Brady Ericson, PHINIA’s president and CEO, "while maintaining ample financial flexibility to support our other strategic priorities."
