The joint venture between French carmaker PSA and domestic automaker Chang'an Auto plans a luxury car production line in China, said Gregoire Olivier, CEO of PSA's Asia division.
In a recent interview, Olivier said PSA will compete with German carmakers in China's luxury market.
The new line will be based on the concept car Metropolis developed by PSA's China design center, which was founded in 2008 in Shanghai.
