Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (Group) (SAIC) lately launched Inkanet intelligent driving system for Roewe 350, equipping auto-borne information terminals with functions like information search, stock trading, traffic navigation, e-book and community interaction.

Roewe 350 is based on open Android operating system. In February 2010, Android-based mobile phones accounted for 15.5% of the mobile Internet traffic, rising 8% from a month earlier, although Apple Inc. still dominated the market, according to data released by Quantcast.

Roewe 350 is oriented to the online mobile technology market at the very beginning of its development, disclosed a top executive of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited (SHSE: 600104), saying that customers have greater demand for applications in the wireless sensor network nowadays.

Roewe 350 will take the preemptive opportunity in the informatization of the automobile industry, pointed out Chang Xiaobing, board chairman of China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd.
