SAIC Group sells over 17000 trucks in May

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 7) - SAIC Group has released May performance results for its commercial vehicle sales today, Shanghai Securities News reported.

Nanjing Iveco and SAIC-IVECO Commercial Vehicle remained the manufacturer's top performing commercial vehicle subsidiaries, with their May sales totaling 12,009 units and 2,302 units. The two subsidiaries cumulative sales for January to May totaled 70,703 units and 12,330 units, representing year-on-year growth of 18.88 percent and 65.35 percent. SAIC Commercial Vehicle's sales for May totaled 841 units, while its cumulative sales for the first five months of the year reach 4,111 units. Finally, SAIC Sunwin Bus sold a total of 461 units in May and 1,519 from January to May.

SAIC's performance in the truck segment was especially strong. The manufacturer and its subsidiaries sold over 17,400 medium and heavy trucks last month, 36.51 percent greater than the amount it sold last May. Over 75,000 SAIC trucks have been sold over the first five months of the year.
