Seeds | 1 Billion Yuan in 10 Months, XYZ Embodied AI Completes Pre-A Financing

Gasgoo Munich-XYZ Embodied AI announced the completion of a Pre-A financing round on June 3. That brings its total funding to 1 billion yuan just 10 months after its inception.

Investors in this round span three categories: leading financial firms, state-owned capital, and industrial players. Notable participants include financial institutions like Pine Capital, East Capital, and Huakong Fund; state-backed entities such as CRRC Capital, Beijing Industry Investment, Guojun Innovation Investment, and Jiangxi Financial Holding; and industrial capital from Aitek, Hengxing Group, and Qi An Investment.

Existing backer Yuansheng Ventures doubled down for a third consecutive round, while the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence (BAAI) continued its heavy support. This backing aims to help XYZ Embodied AI solidify the technological foundation of embodied intelligence and accelerate commercial deployment across multiple scenarios.

XYZ Embodied AI said the proceeds will target three key areas: core R&D for next-generation embodied brains and world models, mass production of products, and the recruitment of top talent to expand the team.

Coinciding with the funding close, XYZ Embodied AI announced that BAAI will deepen its support for the company's world model development. The two parties have jointly launched the "Embodied Interaction World Model Laboratory." By integrating talent, resources, and technology, they aim to co-develop cutting-edge embodied interaction world model technologies and accelerate the translation of research into applications.

Founded on August 1, 2025, and incubated by BAAI, XYZ Embodied AI is dedicated to achieving multimodal spatial intelligence. Its goal is to build a highly generalized general-purpose brain capable of transcending specific robot hardware.

This means robots will no longer just passively recognize environments and execute commands. Instead, they are gaining the capacity for "pre-action simulation" in the physical world—truly evolving from "seeing the world" to "understanding interaction," and from "executing actions" to "predicting consequences."

Currently, XYZ Embodied AI is rapidly expanding its commercial footprint through a "dual-engine" approach.

On one front, XYZ Embodied AI's integrated software-hardware solutions are deeply empowering leading hardware manufacturers. Its client base covers over 70% of top-tier embodied intelligence companies, and it has become the largest global shipper of NVIDIA Jetson Thor. On the other front, the company is forging deep partnerships with industrial players. This includes strategic collaboration with Beijing E-Town Robotics on government affairs, patrol, and guidance services, as well as close ties with major energy and power groups to deploy solutions in high-value scenarios like power line inspection and energy facility maintenance.
