Gasgoo Munich- Shanghai Active Technology Co., Ltd. recently announced the completion of a 330 million yuan angel round — a record haul for the brain-computer interface sector in China.
The proceeds will fund site expansion, equipment upgrades, clinical trial advancement, and team growth, all aimed at accelerating the clinical translation and industrialization of invasive brain-computer interface products.
Established in February 2026, Active Technology is a platform company focused on the R&D and industrialization of invasive brain-computer interface technology. Its core technical team is led by Jia Jing, Zhao Bin, and Yi Guoliang. Meanwhile, CEO Wu Guojia brings extensive industrial experience, having long specialized in the development, production, and commercialization of Class III medical devices.

Leveraging engineering expertise and academic depth in hardware system development, neural signal encoding and decoding, and animal validation, Active Technology has built end-to-end proprietary capabilities spanning flexible electrodes, dedicated chips, decoding algorithms, and system integration. The company is now focused on advancing clinical applications for motor, visual, and emotional brain-computer interfaces.
Active Technology has already constructed a product matrix covering three major brain-computer interface categories: motor, visual, and emotional. Its motor interface, dubbed "Tianshu," targets patients suffering from motor and language impairments caused by stroke, spinal cord injury, or ALS, aiming to restore motor function for those living with paralysis.
The "Tianshu" system is set to launch clinical trials using a 1,024-channel setup. If successful, Active Technology would become the first company in China to conduct clinical trials for a 1,024-channel invasive brain-computer interface.
Separately, Active Technology has established a 2,500-square-meter facility combining office space and GMP workshops, entering a stable phase of R&D and production. By the end of 2026, the company plans to complete a new headquarters spanning over 10,000 square meters, which will include a micro-nano processing platform, while its headcount is expected to surpass 100.
