Gasgoo Munich-Galaxea, an embodied intelligence robotics firm, has recently closed a 1 billion yuan Series B financing round, according to Gasgoo. Investors include industrial capital firms like Jinding Capital, BAIC Industrial Investment, and HONE Capital. Institutional investors include Loyal Valley Capital, Qianhai Ark Asset Management, and InnoVen Capital. Existing shareholders Cathay Capital, Meituan Longzhu, Capital Today, Xianghe Capital, and GL Ventures continued to participate in the round.
With this round, Galaxea has raised nearly 3 billion yuan across roughly 10 funding rounds. The completion values the company near 10 billion yuan. This establishes Galaxea as a "unicorn" in China's embodied intelligence sector, joining Unitree, AgiBot, and Galbot.
Founded in September 2023, Galaxea is building a "physical engine" for embodied intelligence. It aims to enable rapid cross-industry deployment and out-of-the-box functionality for developers. The company positions itself as the hardware partner with the deepest AI expertise.
To that end, Galaxea has constructed a comprehensive technology ecosystem through continuous investment in algorithms, hardware, and data.

Specifically on the software front, Galaxea adheres to an end-to-end Vision-Language-Action (VLA) foundational model roadmap. It launched the end-to-end dual-system VLA model G0 and the world's first out-of-the-box upgrade, G0 Plus. At CES 2026, Galaxea showcased its R1 Lite robot. It is equipped with the "slow thinking, fast execution" Galaxea G0 Plus dual-system model. The robot performed real-time visual recognition, semantic understanding, and precise grasping.
Simultaneously, Galaxea has built a full-chain, high-efficiency infrastructure for physical world data collection and model training.
In terms of hardware, Galaxea has introduced multiple products. These include the general-purpose humanoid robot R1 Pro and the wheeled dual-arm mobile platform R1 Lite. The dexterous hand DEXO also debuted at CES 2026. Galaxea's DEXO achieves near-human dexterity. It features 0.1 N high-precision tactile sensing and 1 kg fingertip force per finger. This elevates robotic fine manipulation capabilities.
Currently, Galaxea has secured orders for thousands of units. Clients include top-tier global universities, research institutions, and industry leaders. The company has achieved full-stack in-house development across core modules, design, data, models, and scenario solutions. It is one of the few Chinese embodied intelligence firms capable of closing the loop across algorithms, hardware, data, and commercialization.
According to its roadmap, Galaxea plans to launch multiple industry pilots globally in the first half of this year. It continues to build a development ecosystem covering hardware, data, and models. The company works with global developers and partners to achieve scaled applications across industries.
Notably, Galaxea completed business registration changes by the end of January. It officially renamed itself "Galaxea (Beijing) Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd." The enterprise type changed from a "limited liability company" to a "joint-stock company (foreign-invested, unlisted)."
