Seres' Kang Bo: Promoting Full-Chain AI Application, Comprehensive Reconstruction from Product Manufacturing to Organizational Management

Edited by Betty From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich- On August 13, Seres Group Director and Vice President Kang Bo stated that for the company, AI is "no longer a choice, but a future necessity for production and development." The technology has evolved from a simple efficiency tool into an engine for business reconstruction, covering the entire chain from R&D, production, and supply to sales and service.

On the product front, AI is driving the large-scale rollout of intelligent features. As of June 30, 2026, more than 970,000 AITO owners use intelligent driving assistance daily. Assisted driving now accounts for half of total mileage, with cumulative distance surpassing 8.3 billion kilometers. This driving data continuously refines the algorithms, creating a positive loop where data accumulation enhances the user experience.

In manufacturing, Seres' super factory has deployed over 3,000 robots working in tandem, achieving full automation in key production processes. The facility also adopts a "factory within a factory" model, embedding production lines from core suppliers like CATL directly inside the plant. This eliminates intermediate storage and logistics, enabling zero-inventory collaboration.

On the management side, Seres has built a cross-departmental data platform and introduced AI-assisted decision-making and human-machine workflows. The shift moves the company away from relying on individual experience and toward a data-driven decision model.

In terms of AI ecosystem layout, Seres recently teamed up with state capital and CATL—as a second-largest shareholder—to establish Saidou Technology. It also launched AIVA, an AI-focused mobility brand. Additionally, Seres has made tangible progress in embodied intelligence, with humanoid robots now in operation for industrial manufacturing and service reception.

Regarding talent development, Seres has promoted the use of AI tools across the company and held internal AI skills competitions. It prioritizes employees who can implement AI tools in specific business scenarios to generate real value. Kang Bo emphasized that the core of AI implementation lies in scenario-based application—integrating capabilities into business processes to create value.
