The 4th Embodied Intelligence Robotics Industry Development Forum 2026 Convenes

Edited by Yara From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich- As artificial intelligence leaps from screens into the physical world, robots are shedding their identity as mere mechanical executors of commands. Instead, they are emerging as intelligent agents capable of understanding their surroundings, making autonomous decisions, and interacting deeply with the physical realm. By 2026, embodied intelligence is accelerating past technical exploration to reach a critical industrialization inflection point—transitioning from labs to assembly lines, from isolated tasks to complex scenarios, and from functional tools to collaborative partners.

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models are evolving rapidly, world models are constructing frameworks for physical understanding, and architectures coordinating "large" and "small" brains are maturing. Meanwhile, simulation and digital twin technologies are closing the training loop, while the domestic production of core components is gaining speed. These breakthroughs are reshaping the limits of robotic capability and pushing the industry into a phase of systemic integration. Embodied intelligence is no longer a race of concepts—it has become a comprehensive test of engineering prowess, cost structures, and commercial viability.

Against this backdrop, the 4th Embodied Intelligence Robotics Industry Development Forum officially convenes on March 17. Co-hosted by Gasgoo and the Shanghai Intelligent Automotive Software Park. Themed "Human-Machine Symbiosis, Blurring Boundaries," the forum focuses on the critical transition of embodied intelligence from technical breakthrough to large-scale deployment, creating a platform where frontier thinking intersects with industrial practice.

Addressing the core challenges of industrialization, the forum will systematically explore application prospects and the evolution of technical paradigms. Discussions will span VLA architectures and pathways to general intelligence, engineering practices for scaling humanoid robots, and capability upgrades driven by the collaboration of "large" and "small" brains. The agenda also features exchanges on the evolution of operating system ecosystems, digital twins and virtual-real convergence, and model lightweighting for edge deployment—mapping the realistic path from model innovation to engineering execution, and from technical validation to commercial rollout.

During a spotlight dialogue, guests will delve into "Virtual-Real Symbiosis—The Future Boundaries and Industrial Transformation of Embodied Intelligence." Discussions will center on the evolution of robot morphology and functional limits, the tipping point for industrializing VLA and brain-coordination architectures, and the "last mile" challenges of mass deployment. The session will also tackle the complex dynamics between open-source ecosystems and vertical integration, directly addressing the strategic trade-offs in technology roadmaps, ecosystem structures, and business models.

The forum will gather scientists, corporate decision-makers, engineering leads, and investors to exchange insights on "large-small brain coordination," "virtual-real fusion," "key technology engineering," and "commercial scaling." Together, participants will systematically clarify the critical path from technical verification to product realization. The discussion will move beyond whether embodied intelligence is achievable to focus on how to scale it and how to make it sustainable.

The era of human-machine symbiosis is approaching faster than ever.
