Shanghai August 18 (Gasgoo.com) Media reported that German's top three carmakers  Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz are fiercely vying for more market share in China to make up to their disappointing performance in the traditional markets.

In July, both Benz and Audi's sales in their domestic markets experienced a decline from the same period last year. BMW's sales had a slight growth of 4% in the German market.

On the contrary, these three carmakers' sales in China all saw a great increase. Audi and BMW's sales had a year on year growth of 53% and 82% respectively, while sales of Benz almost tripled from a year earlier.

On the whole, thanks to the boost of the Chinese market, the three German carmakers made pretty good profits despite of their mediocre performances in the European market.

In addition, according to the data released by J.D. Power &Associates, sales of luxury cars in the Chinese market will double, possibly reaching 1,110,000 units in 2015.
