Toyota Motor Corp. raised its global production plan for the current fiscal year to 7 million vehicles from a previous target of 6.67 million, the Yomiuri newspaper reported, without saying where it obtained the information.
The plan excludes subsidiaries such as Daihatsu Motor Co., the newspaper said.
"We can't comment on anything related to this," Toyota spokesman Yuta Kaga said today by telephone.
