Toyota to recall RAV4 in China as of Feb 28

Gasgoo From China Daily

Toyota will begin recalling its RAV4 model in several areas in China on Feb 28, China National Radio (CNR) reported Wednesday.

More than 75,500 units of Toyota's RAV4 model sold in China are equipped with defective brake pedals.

Most Chinese consumers favor the recall. Some even say it has no big influence on their plans of buying Toyota cars, CNR reported.

However, according to some Toyota distributors, sales are suffering to some extent because of the recall.

Toyota authorities will start their visits to distributors and buyers in 35 Chinese cities and try to reduce the effect of the recall, according to media.
