On June 2, UBTech’s consumer brand UWORLD began presales on JD.com for what it describes as the world’s first full-size ultra-bionic humanoid robot. Designed for emotional companionship, the device is scheduled for an official launch on June 30.

The presale page lists two SKUs: a male model standing 183 cm tall and weighing 42 kg, and a female model at 168 cm and 35.2 kg. Both feature 88 degrees of freedom, WiFi connectivity, and a battery life of 2 to 4 hours per charge. Notably, the units do not support secondary development.

Consumers can reserve a spot in the first batch with a 3,000 yuan deposit until July 15. Deliveries are expected to begin no later than September 15.

Data released by UBTech on June 5 shows that the UWORLD full-size robot accumulated over 1,000 pre-orders in just three days on JD.com.

On June 6, UBTech released footage of the U1 series. The male model features sharp facial contours and visible eyelashes when blinking, while the female model features golden long hair and realistic skin texture, with eyes that track the camera’s movement. The visuals have sparked significant discussion online.

The company revealed that the series will run on an emotional AI model designed for interactive growth, featuring local encrypted memory storage and extensive appearance customization. Official IP collaborations have also begun.
