Volkswagen says 52% of Sagitar cars have been recalled

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai Mar 18) –Last week, Volkswagen China and FAW Volkswagen held communication meeting on Sagitar recall issue, apologizing to the public and introducing the progress and follow-up actions. It is reported there had been 29,300 Sagitar cars being equipped with metal scale board from Feb. 2nd to Mar. 11th and Volkswagen will set up service hotline for the communication with the owners of recalled Sagitar and Beetle.

On Oct. 17th, 2014, FAW Volkswagen announced 563,605 Sagitar cars would be recalled and would start on Feb. 2nd 2015. By the end of Mar. 11th, there had been 29,300 Sagitar cars being equipped with metal scale board and the recall percentage was 52%. Mr. Liu, vice general manager of FAW Volkswagen, says recalling work will be finished within one year as required.
