Gasgoo Munich- On July 2, XPENG has opened pre-sales for the MONA L03, the first SUV in its MONA lineup, introducing both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (REEV) variants as the company expands the brand into a broader product family aimed at younger buyers.

The new model is available in six configurations with prices ranging from 143,800 yuan to 165,800 yuan.
Designed by XPENG's global styling team under Vice President of Design JuanMa Lopez, formerly of Ferrari, the MONA L03 adopts the company's "Vital Flow" design language. The coupe-inspired SUV features a fastback profile, a low-slung stance and a drag coefficient of just Cd 0.228, placing it among the more aerodynamically efficient production electric SUVs currently on the market. Xpeng says a series of aerodynamic refinements contributes approximately 59.3 km of additional driving range.
The model is offered in six exterior colors and two interior themes. Premium design elements include frameless doors, frameless exterior mirrors, flush side glazing, signature lighting at both the front and rear, and a high-gloss paint finish developed using BASF clearcoat and a 3C2B painting process.

Inside, the cabin emphasizes comfort and digitalization. Soft-touch materials cover more than 72% of interior surfaces, complemented by a 256-color ambient lighting system. Front occupants benefit from ventilated, heated and power-adjustable seats, while the driver's seat also features memory, lumbar support and a 14-point massage function. The front passenger seat offers zero-gravity reclining capability, electric leg support and 14-point massage system.
The cockpit is equipped with a 26.8-inch head-up display, a 15.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen and a 20-speaker AI-powered audio system. To improve cabin refinement, sound-insulating materials cover more than 90% of the interior, while ENC and RNC active noise-cancellation technologies help reduce road, wind and ambient noise.
Practicality is another focus. The BEV version includes a 102-liter front trunk, while the rear cargo compartment offers 539 liters of luggage capacity, expanding to 1,640 liters with the rear seats folded. Multiple storage compartments, magnetic mounting points and accessory interfaces are designed to support camping, sports equipment, mobile content creation and other lifestyle applications.
The MONA L03 will be offered in Max and Ultra SE trims. The Max version is powered by a single Turing AI chip delivering 750 TOPS of computing power, while the Ultra SE upgrades to dual Turing AI processors with a combined 1,500 TOPS. Both support XPENG's Turing AI-assisted driving system, with the company planning to roll out its second-generation VLA software later this year. XPENG says the system is designed to handle a wide range of urban and highway driving scenarios with enhanced safety and smoother vehicle control.

Customers can choose between two powertrain options. The BEV is available with CLTC-rated driving ranges of 525 km and 625 km, energy consumption as low as 11.9 kWh per 100 km and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.6 seconds. The REEV version offers a CLTC range of 315 km on battery power alone and a combined driving range of 1,330 km, while recording a WLTC combined fuel consumption of 5.16 L/100 km.

The chassis combines a MacPherson front suspension with a five-link rear setup, DCC adaptive dampers and Bosch's latest integrated braking system. Additional features include a 5.25-meter turning radius, a 35.99-meter braking distance from 100 km/h and an upgraded anti-motion sickness mode designed to improve ride comfort on winding roads.
As the first global-oriented model in the MONA family, the MONA L03 has been engineered for 64 international markets and is designed to meet five-star safety requirements in China, Europe and Australia.
XPENG plans to officially launch the MONA L03 globally on July 16 in Munich, Germany, underscoring the company's ambitions to expand its presence in overseas markets.
