Located across from the Haixi Mingyue Community in Haishu District, the scene was captured on video showing intense flames and thick white smoke. Firefighters responded swiftly to handle the blaze, and no injuries were reported.

Later that evening, ZEEKR issued a statement through its official "ZEEKR Service" account, confirming an "overheating incident" involving a vehicle at a Ningbo charging facility. The automaker said it dispatched personnel immediately and established a special task force to manage the aftermath. Preliminary investigations revealed that the vehicle had been involved in a serious collision recently but had not been inspected or repaired at an official authorized service center. ZEEKR is currently cooperating with fire and other authorities for on-site inspections and cause analysis, noting that final conclusions will depend on the official investigation.
A source familiar with the matter revealed that the vehicle was involved in an accident on June 11 of this year and was subsequently repaired outside the authorized network before being sold by its original owner. In its statement, ZEEKR specifically warned that following a collision, the power battery, high-voltage system, and body structure require comprehensive professional inspection. Vehicles repaired without standardized checks may pose hidden safety risks. The company also advised consumers to thoroughly verify accident and maintenance records when purchasing second-hand new energy vehicles.
The ZEEKR 7X serves as a core SUV model for the brand, built on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) and equipped across the lineup with an 800-volt high-voltage platform. Data shows that global cumulative deliveries of the ZEEKR 7X approached 180,000 units as of July 2026. The model previously secured a five-star safety rating in Euro NCAP testing.
