Gasgoo Munich-  Zhejiang Humanoid Robotics Innovation Center Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Zhejiang Humanoid") has struck a strategic partnership with Jack Technology. The two sides signed an order for 2,000 humanoid robots customized for garment manufacturing, marking the first mass deployment of humanoid robots in the global apparel industry.

For embodied AI robots, the push for flexible smart manufacturing in the apparel sector serves as the ultimate test of industrial viability.

Garment fabrics vary widely in material and shape, and are prone to wrinkling or shifting. This means alignment deviations for cut pieces like collars and pockets must be kept within ±2mm, while core tasks such as cutting and sewing demand motion precision of 0.3–0.5mm. These constraints place extreme demands on a robot’s perception, decision-making, and control capabilities—making generalization a notoriously difficult challenge recognized by the global scientific community.

To meet these demands, Zhejiang Humanoid leveraged its proprietary full-stack hardware and software technology. As early as September 2024, the company initiated specialized R&D for its NAVIAI robot, focusing on core template machine processes along garment production lines.

By July 2025, the NAVIAI humanoid robot’s template machine operation scheme successfully passed proof-of-concept (POC) validation. It achieved stable, fully automated performance across the entire workflow: opening and closing templates, manipulating fabric, stacking, and unloading.

On the algorithm front, Zhejiang Humanoid employed its proprietary embodied intelligence sensing and control system to achieve precise perception and fine manipulation in fabric handling. The system ensures stable execution of full-process tasks, with a success rate for flexible fabric separation that far exceeds the industry average.

Meanwhile, by using remote teleoperation technology to enable data collection, the company has established a full-chain pathway for long-term data accumulation in garment manufacturing scenarios.

Thanks to targeted training strategies, the NAVIAI robot can handle fabrics of varying sizes and materials, from polo shirts to denim. It completes single-step operations in under 10 seconds and maintains a stacking alignment accuracy of less than 2mm for multiple fabric layers.
