ZXMOTO Completes New Funding Round; Sequoia China Invests 150 Million Yuan at 6 Billion Yuan Valuation

Gasgoo Munich- On August 13 — ZXMOTO, a Chinese high-performance motorcycle brand, has completed a new funding round with participation from Sequoia China. Early backer Gaoxin Capital also joined the round, though neither party disclosed specific transaction terms.

Regarding the investment scale, Cao Bin, founding partner and chairman of Gaoxin Capital, provided specific figures in a recent interview: Sequoia China invested 150 million yuan in this round, valuing ZXMOTO at approximately 6 billion yuan post-deal.

The collaboration spans multiple fronts. ZXMOTO will continue directing resources toward engine R&D, vehicle design, and racing validation, while Sequoia China will support corporate governance, talent acquisition, supply chain integration, and global expansion.

Founded in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area in April 2024, ZXMOTO launched deliveries of its debut model, the 500RR, in March 2025, with annual sales surpassing 25,000 units that year. Financial data shows revenue hit 670 million yuan in 2025, with a full-year target of 2.5 billion to 3 billion yuan set for 2026. Currently, monthly deliveries have exceeded 10,000 units. On the capacity front, the company signed a deal for a new R&D and manufacturing base in July, planning an annual output of 500,000 units.

Track performance has been a recent standout for ZXMOTO. In March, the team claimed victory in its debut at the WorldSSP class of the World Superbike Championship (WSBK), followed by consecutive wins in Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Italy—including a new lap record at the Czech circuit.

Su Kai, a partner at Sequoia China, commented that Zhang Xue's enduring passion for products and racing ensures the company understands user needs while committing to sustained technical investment. "Sequoia is willing to stand with such entrepreneurs for the long haul, together challenging for world-class products and world-class circuits."
