Shanghai. October 26 (Gasgoo.com) - Chinese automaker Chery's subcompact car model, QQ, has aced in 13 out of 32 provinces or municipalities in China in January -August period, according to a China National Radio report.
In Eastern coastal province of Jiangsu, Chery sold 5,667 QQ cars in the first eight months of this year, while its rivals Chevrolet Spark and Changan Benbe sold only 1,488 and 1,354 vehicles.
The 13 provinces and municipalities also include Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Shanghai, Shanxi, Sichuan, Xizhang, and Zhejiang.
Separately, Chery has sold a total volume of 210,000 vehicles from January through September, passing its sales in the whole year of 2006.
The table below shows sales of subcompact cars (with engine displacement of 1.3 liter or lower) from Jan through Aug in the thirteen provinces.
