Changan Ford Recalled 80K units 2013 Kuga
Shanghai, April 12nd, Gasgoo - It was reported by Gasgoo that, Changan Ford Automobile Co., Ltd has decided to recall part of the 2013 1.6L Kuga produced in July 18th, 2012 to November 5th, 2014 for a total of 82,976 units since June 30ty, 2017 according to the requirement of Regulations on Administration for the Recalling of Defect Auto Products. It has already put it on record for AQSIQ.
Reasons for Recalls
The engine cooling system in part of the recalled Kuga equipped with 1.6L GTDi engine is likely to leak after used for a long time. It will lead to local overheating of the engine cylinder cover and make it crack and lead to oil leakage in extreme conditions. If the leaked engine oil is exposed to the high-heated exhaust air system, it will cause a fire of engine compartment and leaving a potential safety hazard.
Measures
Changan Ford is to change the water jug and pipe for recalled vehicles freely, add with coolant level sensor, refresh power train control module and software like meters and so on to eliminate the security risks.
From now on, Changan Ford is to actively inform and instruct drivers whose cars need to be recalled to have their coolant level checked. The authorized dealers of Changan Ford are going to repair cars with problems freely. Drivers can also seek for Changan Ford’s authorized dealers to check their cars.
