Customizable Hongqi L5 starts presale with starting price of RMB 6 million ($907,860)

Shanghai (Gasgoo)-On Dec. 11, Hongqi, Chinese national vehicle marque, decided to start presale of the customizable L5, a high-end vehicle model of Hongqi. The production for the model will be limited to 100 units with starting price of RMB 6 million ($907,860). Besides, the high-end customization of the Hongqi L5 will start at the beginning of 2018, making Hongqi to be the first China vehicle brand that provides luxury tailored services.

Based on the Hongqi CA7600J, the Hongqi L5 is an E-class sedan with China's total independent intellectual property rights. The customizable L5 will provide approximately 50 tailor-made configurations on the basis of the mass-produced L5, and will provide multiple premium tailored services for car owners.

Retaining the classic design of the CA770, the L5 boasts abundant Chinese elements, such as a fan-shaped intake grille, palace lantern-shaped tail lights and door handles inlayed with white jade, etc. The L5 features a length of 5555mm, a width of 2018mm and a height of 1578mm with a wheelbase of 3435mm. Powered by a 6.0L V12 engine, the model can deliver a maximum power output of 300kw and a peak torque of 550Nm. 

With high-end position and high-level safety protection, the Hongqi L5 served as the diplomatic shuttle vehicle for many times, delivering luxury riding experience for customers.
